What People Are Saying…

We began working with Rahim almost two years ago to do EDI training for our whole team. Rahim very quickly connected with staff, and did an excellent job designing trainings that provided foundational knowledge and insight about best practice, balanced with the unique nature of our organization. I’m delighted to report that we’re still working with Rahim, doing monthly trainings and “case consultations” to help front-line staff build the skills they need to work with more challenging clients. Rahim has become an integral member of our team, and without exception, we look forward to our monthly meetings with him!

I was fortunate to have been a guest on Rahim’s podcast, The CBT Dive, in 2021 where we explored a very personal struggle using a CBT tool, a ‘thought record.’ The session provided me with valuable insight into my perceptions of the shame I felt and was very useful in helping me navigate my own mental blocks which has had lasting impacts.

Although nervous about it initially, I was very impressed at how carefully Rahim facilitated the session to insight thought-provoking outcomes for me while maintaining a sense of emotional safety. I still refer to the video every so often and is an experience I would implore one and all to indulge in if ever presented with the opportunity. It was truly an honor to have been a guest on his show and would happily put my hands up if there was ever to be a sequel.

Thank You Rahim for the difference you have made in my space, and to countless others. Tjoe!

Rahim is a wonderful and talented presenter. He trained myself and staff in anti-oppressive topics including Trans/Non binary Identities, Collective Trauma, and Substance Abuse and many more! He has been a fantastic addition to our training schedule and I HIGHLY recommend him.

I had an amazing time [at Beyond Eggplants & Peaches]; I learnt so much. I loved everything about it. I’m really hoping you make it back in town as I would definitely LOVE to attend more of these. The content opened my eyes up to a lot of underlying issues in my own relationship and I was also able to confront some of my own demons thanks to that workshop. Absolutely great for mental health and personal growth. I can’t emphasize enough how much I LOVED it and how helpful it was.

Rahim is a very thoughtful, caring and warm person and brings this forward in his work with clients as well as to his team members. Consulting with Rahim about client work was something I can do with ease, because not only do I know I will receive supportive and non-judgemental support, but I would also receive strong clinical feedback that would help me grow as a clinician. Rahim has a unique ability to show up authentically, put others at ease, build safety and trust with others and learn and grow together. To date, Rahim is one of the strongest clinicians I know, and I trust him because of the person he is and the integrity and passion that he brings to his work.

Rahim is an excellent presenter. Rahim brings an authentic lens to queer health in all its diversity and intersectionality through narratives of lived experiences of LGBTQ people, people of color, and clinical best practices. His clinical knowledge is culturally informed, interjecting with cultural humility and safety. Moreover, Rahim adds humor as it opens the audience to be receptive to learning in an interactive session. I strongly recommend Rahim as a keynote speaker on mental health and EDI expertise.
— Devan Nambiar, Gay Men's Sexual Health Alliance of Ontario
Rahim is an amazing clinician and teacher! As a colleague in peer clincial supervision, Rahim has been extremely supportive and helpful to me in my clinical practice. He is insightful and caring, delivering suggestions and feedback in an attuned and revealing manner. I have also welcomed him into my psychotherapy class at the university as a guest speaker. He is a fun and engaged instructor, who generously shares his lived experience, making the teachings personalized and relevant to students. I wish we could have him as a full time faculty member in our psychology department!
